July 4th Bayfront Fireworks Spectacular to launch from 9 – 9:30 pm at Sarasota Bayfront Park / Marina Jack. The beloved fireworks display has been organized by Suncoast Charities for Children for over 10 years—ensuring that the community and families can witness a memorable show each year. While the event is free, you may donate here to ensure the event continues each year.
While the 2024 fireworks display has received enough funding to commence this year, low and last-minute funding jeopardizes future events. According to visitsarasota.com, only $14,000 was raised for the event in 2023 (less than half of the total event-cost of $37,000). Due to the financial sponsorship courtesy of Marina Jack, the 2024 July 4th Bayfront Fireworks will launch.
Executive Director of Suncoast Charities for Children, Lucy Nicandri, expressed, “It is our goal to secure enough funding to cover the cost of producing a quality event for our community, receive a significant donation to support our mission after expenses and increase public awareness that a local non-profit is the organizer of this event.”
To ensure that Bayfront Fireworks continues annually, Suncoast Charities for Children asks for additional support from the community. They have announced a fundraising goal of $50,000 and organized a donation campaign on their website. You may donate by clicking here.
