The wait is over. The much-anticipated seafood and steak house Ocean Prime will officially open on December 21 at the Quay Sarasota (501 Quay Commons). Ocean Prime offers a stunning ambiance, a chef-curated menu, signature cocktails, and a Wine Spectator-honored wine list as part of the award-winning Cameron Mitchell Restaurants.
Inspired by the liminal space that merges land and sea, the two-story restaurant offers terraced views of the marina that “blur the line between indoor luxury and outdoor serenity.” According to the press release, the details of the design result in a “sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere.”
The restaurant spans 9,513 square feet, 355 seats, two elegant bars, and two private dining rooms, all of which capture Sarasota’s serene coastal charm. “Our Sarasota location embodies everything Ocean Prime stands for—exceptional food, elegant design, and genuine hospitality,” says Cameron Mitchell, founder and CEO. “We are proud to bring our award-winning dining experience to the Quay in Sarasota.”
Culinary delights
The Sarasota location marks the fourth Ocean Prime in Florida and the 19th in the nation. At Ocean Prime Sarasota, diners can relish delectable staples such as the Smoking Shellfish Tower, sea scallops with Parmesan risotto, and the famous 10-layer carrot cake for dessert.
In the mood for a signature cocktail or robust wine? Staff at Ocean Prime recommend the Berries + Bubbles and Pineapple Picante, a perfect drink before or after your meal. Ocean Prime also features a curated wine list recognized by Wine Spectator.
