It may feel like the thick of summer outside, but inside classrooms throughout Tampa Bay, school is kicking back up in just a couple of weeks. To help local students and families get ready for the new year, Florida Blue is hosting four huge back-to-school celebrations across the region this weekend, complete with free backpacks and school supplies.
Florida’s leading health partner, Florida Blue’s ‘Fuel the Future’ events take place at four different centers this Saturday, August 2, from 10 am – 1 pm. The community celebrations are free to attend and serve as the perfect kickoff for the new school year.
Fuel the Future events at Florida Blue centers throughout Tampa Bay feature activities for kids, free wellness resources for families, interactive games, and school supply giveaways, alongside the chance to visit with local organizations and community partners who are passionate about making our neighborhoods healthier, stronger, and more connected.
Backpacks full of school supplies are being given away for free at each location, while supplies last. Parents or legal guardians must be present with children, and there is a limit of three per household. No registration is required – families just have to stop by any of the four celebrations this Saturday and Florida Blue will take care of the rest.
