Made sweet or savory, served rolled or folded, filled with jams, chocolate, meats, or cheeses, crepes are a versatile indulgence. One of the best places to enjoy this French breakfast staple is Wooden Rooster, located at 1564 Main St. in the heart of Sarasota’s vibrant downtown. Wooden Rooster is open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Wooden Rooster offers over 14 signature styles of crepe with the option to build your own. On the sweet side, signature crepes include the Berrylicious—with mixed berries, ricotta, almonds, honey, and raspberry coulis—and the Pancrepe, topped with simple maple syrup and butter. Numerous dessert crepes are also available.

On the savory side, try the Full Monty with two scrambled eggs, sharp cheddar, and your choice of bacon, turkey, or Black Forest ham. Or opt for a Spanish-influenced crepe like the Cubanito. Wooden Rooster also offers an impressive selection of vegan-friendly dishes. Check out the full menu here.

Indulgent food at affordable prices

With crepes priced at $12.50 or less, Wooden Rooster is one of the best values in town, especially considering the quality of ingredients, much of which are sourced from local farmers. Not in the mood for crepes? Almost any item on the menu can be made into a sandwich on a baguette or 9-grain bread at the same price.
