Moving from their previous spot near Simon’s Coffee House, the beloved German bakery Mama G’s has taken over the former Stiks location at 4413 S. Tamiami Trail. They celebrated their grand opening at the new location on November 1. Renowned for their authentic German breads, pastries, and savory items, served fresh daily, Mama G’s operates three locations in Sarasota and two in St. Pete. They open early at 6 a.m. and close at 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
Beate Goldstein, also known as Mama G, opened the first location in Sarasota in 2015. With a decade of baking experience and a recipe book passed down through generations, Beate quickly found success in her new business venture. Inspired by her mother’s achievements, Beate’s daughter, Jacqueline, opened her own Mama G’s in St. Pete, bringing their authentic German treats to the Tampa Bay area. Relative Peter Goldstein followed suit with another location in 2022.
Operating under the motto “faith, food, and family,” Mama G’s has become a cherished family-owned staple from Sarasota to Tampa. The team at Mama G’s states, “With a rich history rooted in tradition and a commitment to quality, Mama G’s offers a warm and inviting atmosphere where customers become part of the family. From their mouthwatering German pastries to their aromatic coffee blends, every bite and sip is crafted with love and passion.”
