The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art invites the community to celebrate the season with Holiday Splendor, a cherished tradition returning to the museum’s courtyard on December 5 and 12 at 5 p.m.. Admission is free with the donation of an unwrapped toy, granting access to both the museum and the Ca’ d’Zan mansion.

Holiday Splendor embodies the spirit of giving, with toy donations supporting the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots, benefiting children in Sarasota and Manatee counties. Local school groups will provide musical entertainment in the museum’s courtyard, while food and drinks are available for purchase.

Without a toy donation, regular admission applies ($15 for adults, $5 for children). Conveniently, toys can be purchased at the museum gift shop and donated on-site.

Free admission to the museum and Ca’ d’Zan mansion

A toy donation offers a rare chance to explore the Ca’ d’Zan, the 36,000-square-foot winter residence of John and Mable Ringling. Completed in 1926, this 56-room mansion is an architectural masterpiece designed by Dwight James Baum, blending styles that capture the grandeur of the Roaring Twenties.

Visitors will also enjoy access to the Ringling Museum of Art, renowned for its collection of Peter Paul Rubens masterpieces and its expanded galleries, including:

  • The Searing Wing, featuring contemporary art and James Turrell’s Joseph’s Coat, a permanent light installation.
  • The Chao Center for Asian Art and Kotler-Coville Glass Pavilion, showcasing diverse global works.
  • Rotating exhibitions and permanent collections that captivate art lovers of all kinds.

Celebrate the season by experiencing world-class art and the historic charm of the Ringling estate while giving back to the local community. For more details, visit the Ringling Museum’s website.
